Joe Getz

Hometown: Wayne, PA

Current Vehicle: 2015 Ford Fiesta ST

Joe who founded Square Motorsports in 2020 wanted to create a group where like minded car and racing enthusiasts could share experiences such as sim racing, autocross, and track events. His ambition for Square has been realized through the growth of a strong online community comprised of sim and real world drivers across the globe coming together.

Having wanted to get more into autocross and track experience his whole life, it wasn’t until the Spring of 2022 things got more serious when he purchased his first Miata. Being no stranger to turning wrenches and modifying many of his own and friend’s vehicles in the past, he wasted no time tearing the NC Miata apart and getting it ready for competition. Suspension, wheels, aero, and interior all were quickly addressed to get the car ready for the Autocross season with his local chapter of the SCCA. Joe ran the Miata for most of the season before realizing the chassis was going to be limiting if he wanted to cage it and get on bigger tracks in the future. Despite loving the Miata he sold it and stumbled on a track prepped 2015 Ford Fiesta ST. Being a multi-time prior MINI Cooper owner the front wheel drive forced induction hot hatch was right in his comfort zone. Since purchasing the Fiesta in August of 2023 he’s taken it to the next level improving several aspects of the car in preparation for competing in full season of Autocross in the SMF class while also looking to the future of the 2025 season where the goal is to run Time Trials with the platform.

Joe has been competitive and is competing to win the SMF class in 2024 and hopes to complete the season atop the podium in the Philly Region SCCA points series.
