Square Driver Ryan Kircher Competes in Grid Life Rush SR Series!
Ryan takes on laguna seca in Rush sr!
Since Ryan started sim racing with Square he’s always been one of the fastest and most knowledgeable racers. Always willing to help other drivers with tips and tricks on any track and to spend time improving not only his own lap times, but his teammates as well. Through this sim racing season he’s tackled some of the most grueling tests running iRacing’s series of Special Events which simulate classic endurance races from IMSA and WEC. The races include the 24hr at Daytona, the 24hr at The Nurburgering, 6 Hours at the Glen, 12 hours of Sebring, and the 24 Houres Du LeMans. He and his Square Team Alpha codrivers have had a great season to date with notable finishes at several races. But Ryan can also pilot real cars on the real track at a high level.
After cutting his teeth driving his Porsche Cayman around the track of California, Ryan wanted to take his driving career to the next level. He was introduced to a series which is part of the Grid Life season called Rush SR. Rush started making the SR platform in 2018 and since then has refined the SR to become one of the fastest and most affordable classes of racing around. That’s not a typical combo in the world of motorsport. Grid Life Rush SR is a single class racing series. Drivers run 4 races per event across 2 days to determine the overall winner for the event.
The weekend was full of highs and lows for Ryan. Battling down the famous corkscrew at Laguna Seca is not an easy task, especially as your first foray into wheel to wheel competitive racing. Ryan showed great speed and car control through all 4 races over the weekend. If not getting tangled in some mid-pack craziness, his raw pace was easily top 10. Over the weekend Ryan showed a quick adaptation to the SR platform after having limited seat time in the chassis prior to the Grid Life event. He hopes to compete in most if not all the Grid Life Rush SR events for next season in 2025. Finding sponsors to fund a full season of racing is as much if not more work than racing itself. We know Ryan will continue to do awesome things on and off the track going into the winter sim racing season and carrying into the 2025 Rush SR season.
